Do you know that Massawa was the capital city of Eritrea until 1897 before the capital city was moved to Asmara; and do you know that Massawa was an international maritime gate way to the world in the region in the 19th century. An old postage stamp from Massawa which is a testimony that the use of Arabic in the area precedes that of the colony.
